A comedian whose laughter and unique style have become synonymous with stardom, Chu Ke-Liang remains an unforgettable figure. In November 2017, “The Eternal Era of Chu Ke-Liang Exhibition” was grandly launched at the Yongheng Cultural Park in Keelung. Our team, Yuri Studio, was honored to be responsible for the interactive production of three major exhibition areas: “Television Life,” “Movie Life,” and the “Eternal Memorial Wall.” These areas combined AR and VR technologies to create a virtual reality experience, allowing fans to relive the charisma of this showbiz legend.
Part 1｜Television Life: AR Augmented Reality Wall
In the Television Life exhibition area, portraits of 25 celebrities, who were friends of Chu Ke-Liang throughout his hosting career, are displayed. Using AR technology, visitors can scan these portraits with a tablet or smartphone to view exciting clips of Chu Ke-Liang interacting with them on his shows.
Part 2｜Movie Life: Brave the World of Chu Ke-Liang’s Movies with VR
In the latter part of his life, Chu Ke-Liang made a triumphant return from “studying abroad” and reached a second peak in his career through his film work, earning the title of “The New Legend of Chinese New Year Movie.” In this exhibition area, we created the “Chu Ke-Liang’s Movie Adventure” VR experience. This VR experience features six of his films, where players, guided by Chu Ke-Liang, board the “VR Adventure Ride” and traverse various movie scenes. This multiplayer experience allows participants to explore Chu Ke-Liang’s cinematic life together. Unlike standard VR experiences with just headsets and controllers, the “VR Adventure Ride” is a dynamic platform that moves up and down according to the game content, providing a more immersive experience. The platform can accommodate up to six people, making it a perfect activity for families.
Part 3｜Interactive Memorial Wall: Eternal Remembrance
At the end of the exhibition, we designed an Eternal Memorial Wall where visitors can sign or leave messages on a digital writing pad. These messages then transform into stars projected on a screen, symbolizing the eternal remembrance of this legendary star.
