“Where Mythology Meets Measurement**:** A Journey Among the Stars,” the National Science and Technology Museum’s most anticipated annual exhibition, invites visitors on a journey across time and space through six themed sections: Ancient Observation, Standards of Measurement, Geodetic Surveying, Environmental Measurement, Precision Measurement, and Measurement Applications.Blending Greek mythology and the stories of the twelve zodiac constellations, the exhibition reimagines the science of measurement through immersive and interactive storytelling.
YURI Studio is honored to contribute to three of the exhibition’s most dynamic zones. Through immersive projections, motion-based games, and responsive web modules, we transform scientific knowledge into a multi-sensory, playful experience—inviting visitors to explore the fascinating world of measurement science.
Witness the journey of water through its three states—gas, liquid, and solid—at the edge of a volcano.
In this immersive zone, a high-resolution projection wall simulates a volcanic scene, transitioning from fiery eruptions to rainfall and finally to a frozen snowy peak, repeating in a continuous, cinematic loop.
To enhance the experience, interactive glowing spheres placed in front of the projection shift color in real time with the changing temperature of the scene, offering visitors a vivid and tactile way to understand how temperature is measured and visualized.
Think you can outrun a mythical beast? Step onto the track and race against legendary creatures from Greek mythology—Griffin, Scorpion, Bull, and Owl—in this speed challenge zone.
When the countdown begins, animated creatures sprint across a long screen beside the track. Participants run alongside them, while infrared sensors record their speed and performance.
At the finish line, a real-time comparison is displayed between your pace and the mythical rivals’, turning the abstract concept of “speed” into an exhilarating physical experience.
Beyond the hands-on experiences inside the exhibit, a digital surprise awaits each visitor.
A custom-designed quiz website allows participants to record their progress and results across each zone—temperature, speed, measurement tasks—via their mobile devices.
Upon completing all challenges, the system reveals a personalized Greek deity that reflects your traits and journey, awarding you a symbolic collectible card as a memento and sharable keepsake.
It’s science with a mythic twist, and a meaningful finale to your stellar journey.
