2024 Tang Prize Honorary Exhibition|Interactive Display Wall

Intro|Combining Interactive Display Technology to Showcase Laureates’ Contributions Through Engaging Experiences

Founded in 2012 by Dr. Samuel Yin, President of Ruentex Group, the Tang Prize aims to encourage professionals to explore the wisdom needed for humanity in the 21st century, leading global development through groundbreaking research and social initiatives. The laureates of this year’s (6th) Tang Prize were announced in June, and a series of exhibitions, lectures, and award ceremonies began in September. The inaugural Honorary Exhibition embraces the trend of interactive exhibition technology, incorporating a digital interactive zone within the display. Through engaging and relatable formats, the exhibition introduces the innovative research and contributions of the laureates to the public in a simplified and accessible manner.

Little Tang’s Day — Discovering Laureates’ Contributions through Everyday Spaces

In line with this year’s Glory Exhibition theme, “A Dialogue with a Better Life,” we draw inspiration from everyday people, places, and objects that connect to the contributions of Tang Prize laureates. The four major Tang Prize categories—Sustainable Development, Sinology, Rule of Law, and Biopharmaceutical Science—are represented through different settings, including the living room, study, street, and laboratory. The narrative follows “Little Tang’s Day,” guiding the audience through each scenario to explore key knowledge points related to the laureates’ achievements.

A Simple and Fun Interactive Wall Design Transforms Complex Research into Easy-to-Understand Concepts for the Public

As visitors touch the buttons on the wall, still images are overlaid with projected animations, creating a seamless blend of the real and virtual world. This seemingly simple mechanism sparks curiosity, encouraging viewers to anticipate the surprise that each touch brings. This interactive approach enhances understanding of the laureates’ research, making the content more memorable and impactful.
