“Good Harvests and Gentle Rains” presents Tainan’s rich cultural heritage through a new lens, supported by the Digital Development Agency’s Digital Industry Department. This production pioneers the integration of cutting-edge 5G technology into folk performing arts. In the story, Tainan’s iconic character, a young girl named “Alan,” is brought to life through precise motion capture, which translates the performer’s intricate movements into a 3D virtual character. Utilizing real-time 5G transmission, the virtual and real worlds seamlessly intertwine, pushing beyond the limits of traditional stage performances and offering audiences an immersive, interactive experience. This meticulously crafted piece not only showcases the depth of Tainan’s culture but also invites international teams participating in the Nanying International Folklore Festival to experience the cultural charm of Tainan.
