Yuri Studio was invited to collaborate with Pakistan’s immersive experience brand Immersiverse.pk on an overseas pop-up exhibition project. Held at the iconic Dolmen Mall Clifton in Karachi, this marked the city’s first international immersive visual experience. Centered around the themes of “Ocean” and “Candy Kingdom,” the project explored new frontiers in immersive storytelling through multi-dimensional narratives.
Despite the challenges of remote collaboration, our team transformed projection technology into a narrative medium, structuring the story through spatial design and using animated content as a visual language. From the emotional guidance of the opening sequence to the rhythm of scene transitions, every production element was meticulously aligned with the audience’s sensory journey — aiming to create an immersive environment that breaks the boundaries of everyday perception.
The ocean became our starting point for storytelling, guiding the audience on a seamless, gradual descent. The journey begins at the familiar water surface, where sunlight filters through in dappled patterns, setting a warm and bright tone. As the gaze dives deeper, the vibrant marine ecosystem unfolds—majestic jellyfish drift gracefully while colorful fish dart between coral reefs, composing a vivid underwater tableau.
The animation’s color palette follows a clear gradient logic: transitioning from bright turquoise to deep indigo, with light intensity decreasing accordingly. This visual shift not only reflects the ocean’s physical layers but also symbolizes the psychological transition from the known to the unknown. By the time the audience reaches the ocean floor, the familiar world has transformed into a mysterious deep-sea realm.
At the deepest point of the ocean journey, a deliberate narrative rupture occurs—streams of deep blue and violet light begin to pulse in the darkness, seemingly tearing the boundary between reality and fantasy. This mysterious portal propels the audience through a breathtaking dimensional leap—from the ocean abyss into the vastness of space, where a rainbow-hued planet emerges in view.
The final destination is a dreamlike kingdom entirely made of candy. Rolling mountains of chocolate, floating cotton candy clouds, twinkling buildings of rainbow candy, and whimsical donut-shaped trees come together to create a sweet, wonder-filled world brimming with childlike joy. This extraordinary journey from deep-sea mystery to a cosmic candy realm concludes in a land of innocence and imagination.
