We were invited to design the background LED visuals for Sorry Youth&#8217;s live performance of &#8220;Undercurrent.&#8221; As the first note landed, a deep blue swell of water texture rose across the entire backdrop, and as the band&#8217;s voice built, wave after wave surged forward \u2014 extending the image of &#8220;the wave&#8221; Through the choreography of a large-scale background LED wall, we tracked every shift in the song&#8217;s rhythm \u2014 the instant a drumbeat landed, the image seemed to shudder under the impact; as the guitar solo climbed, beams of light traced sharp, glinting lines across the dark swell.
