Nestled among the peaks of the Alishan mountain range, Fenqihu has long served as a vital gateway between the lowlands and the alpine forest belt. For over a century, culture and nature have converged here, weaving together mountain landscapes, the legacy of the forest railway, and the rhythms of settlement life into a historic corridor that preserves the collective memories and stories of the Alishan region.
In the autumn of 2025, the Alishan National Scenic Area Administration collaborates with Twin Domains, one of Taiwan’s most representative immersive experience curatorial brands, together with the content design expertise of Sunri Interactive, to create a luminous corridor where history, culture, and natural scenery converge. Through the integration of digital art and interactive technologies, mountain memories are transformed into an immersive experience that can be seen, heard, touched, and actively participated in. Travelers from around the world are invited to embark on an enchanting journey through the forests and mountains of Alishan.

Framed as a journey along the forest railway, this immersive experience is presented in three acts:
Act I|Awakening: Embarking at First Light
Step into the seasonal forests and experience the mingling aromas of tea and coffee.
Act II|Discovery: Pausing to Explore
Retrace the heritage of the mountain town and revisit its stories and local culture.
Act III|Embrace: Cradled in Nature
Let woven imagery reveal the magnificent natural splendor of Alishan.
Each act can be appreciated as an independent scene or experienced as part of a continuous narrative. Whether viewed in fragments or in full, the experience offers a unique and profound sensory journey. Interactive elements are integrated throughout the experience: guided by narration and visual cues, visitors are invited to touch the walls at specific moments, triggering hidden surprises and enhancing the sense of discovery.

In its concluding section, the experience integrates interactive knowledge features and a digital guide, inviting visitors to scan a QR code for further information about Fenqihu and the Alishan area. This design extends the immersive experience beyond the exhibition space and into real-world exploration, creating a seamless pathway from digital engagement to on-site travel and fostering added value for regional tourism.
